Questions
How do I work out GST from a total?
Divide the GST-inclusive price by 11. For example, $110 ÷ 11 = $10 GST, leaving $100 excluding GST.
How do I add GST to a price?
Multiply by 1.1. For example, $100 × 1.1 = $110 including GST.
When do I need to register for GST?
When your annual turnover is $75,000 or more ($150,000 for non-profits), and always if you drive a taxi or ride-share, regardless of turnover.
