Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, so it's safe for contracts, payslips and ID documents.
Why can't I select the text afterwards?
Each page is rebuilt as an image to make it smaller. Keep your original if you need searchable text.
Which level should I choose?
Balanced suits most email attachments. Use Strong for the smallest file and Light when the document must print sharply.
Why didn't my PDF get smaller?
Text-only PDFs are usually already small. The tool tells you when there's nothing worth saving.
